I have always loved languages, and Hindi has been especially close to my heart. For a long time, I felt that Urdu was Hindi’s beautiful sister, and I dreamt of learning the Urdu script so that I could read it fluently.

Over the years, I explored different teachers and self-learning resources, hoping to find a method that suited my learning needs. However, nothing seemed to work quite right. As a National-level trainer myself, I understand how challenging the learning process can be for adults. That is why I was initially a little skeptical when I enrolled in Rekhta Learning’s Urdu Script Course.
However, once the classes began, all my doubts disappeared.

What followed was an exciting learning journey. Our online classroom brought together learners from different parts of India and across the world, all connected by a shared love for Urdu. Learning alongside such a diverse group made the experience even more enriching.

A major reason for my positive experience was our teacher, Professor Ghazanfar. His teaching style was simple, engaging, and highly effective. His deep knowledge of Indic languages helped him explain concepts in a way that felt familiar and easy to understand.

The course was thoughtfully designed. The weekly study material was easy to follow, worksheets were evaluated on time, and the feedback helped me improve continuously. The live sessions were interactive and kept us motivated throughout the course.

Today, I have learned the basics of the Urdu script, and I now feel confident enough to continue practising on my own. While I know that proficiency will come with time and effort, I finally have the foundation I was looking for.

My dream is to read Mirza Ghalib, Ismat Chughtai, and other great poets and writers in their original Urdu script. Thanks to Rekhta Learning, that dream no longer feels distant. The course has given me the tools and confidence to pursue it.

For anyone who loves languages, literature, or Urdu poetry, I would highly recommend taking this journey. Learning a new script may seem challenging at first, but with the right guidance, it becomes an immensely rewarding experience.
For me, this is not the end of learning Urdu, it is just the beginning.
